On February 28, 2024, the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (“ANPD” or “Brazilian DPA”) extended the deadline for the submission of contributions from the civil society on two currently open issues related to the theme of personal data protection in Brazil.
The first one is the Public Hearing on the use of anonymization and pseudonymization techniques, aiming to support a forthcoming Guideline on the topic. The Public Hearing, which we discussed in this newsletter, had its deadline for contributions extended until March 14, 2024.
The second one is the Consultation to develop regulations regarding the rights of personal data subjects provided in the LGPD. This Consultation, also discussed in another newsletter, had its deadline for contributions extended until April 3, 2024.
Our team is available for further clarification, as well as to advise on the procedures for complying with the regulatory obligations of the LGPD before the ANPD.
