On March 3, partner Gustavo Flausino Coelho will participate in the Americas Meeting 2023 of the International Association of Young Lawyers (“AIJA”) in Panama City, Panama.
Participants of the event will discuss the advantages, opportunities and challenges for companies that, as a result of recent world events, seek to relocate their businesses in strategic areas of Latin America, as well as learn about the most recent international investment arbitration cases in the region.
Partner Gustavo Flausino Coelho will participate in the panel that will take place at 3:30pm, whose theme is “Nearshoring in the Americas – challenges and advantages“. In this panel, panelists will discuss the importance of Nearshoring in the region, as well as the potential opportunities and challenges for investors and the regulatory challenges for countries interested in offering these services.
The panel will be moderated by Jose Luis Vega (Ramirez, Gutiérrez-Azpe, Rodrigo-Rivero y Hurtado, S.C. – Mexico) and will feature panelists Aimee Prieto (Prieto, Cabrera & Asociados – Dominican Republic), Daniela Flores (EC Rubio – Mexico), Alberto Lopez Tom (De Castro & Robles – Panama) and Carmen Gisela Vergara (PROPANAMA – Panama).
Each year AIJA offers over twenty (20) events and initiatives dedicated to international young lawyers, and organized by AIJA members through the various Commissions and Committees, whether online, in-person or in a hybrid format.
