Partner Gustavo Coelho was interviewed by Portal do Bitcoin/UOL newspaper in an article by Alexandre Antunes about the role of the Brazilian Competition Authority (CADE) and the recent developments of the Administrative Inquiry No. 08700.003599/2018-95, which investigates the occurrence of anti-competitive conducts practiced by financial institutions against cryptocurrency exchanges.
In this opportunity, Gustavo clarified that CADE is not convinced about the existence of anticompetitive conducts by financial institutions. In addition, Gustavo explained the paths chosen by CADE to conduct the inquiry and the internal procedures applicable to the administrative inquiries conducted by CADE.
