Partner Gustavo Flausino Coelho participated in the event " Resale price maintenance, suggestion and tabulation" organized by the Competition Law Committee ("CDCOR") of the Brazilian Bar Association, Rio de Janeiro State Chapter ("OAB/RJ").
Besides the partner Gustavo Flausino Coelho, the debate panel included João Marcelo de Lima Assafim (president of CDCOR of OABRJ, lawyer and professor at UFRJ), Carlos Ragazzo (former member of the Brazilian Antitrust Authority – “CADE”, former CADE general superintendent, and law professor at FGV-Rio), and Alessandro Octaviani (former CADE councilor, professor of economic law at USP).
In theoretical and practical approaches, the speakers brought important reflections on the conducts of resale price fixing, suggestion, and tabulation, commenting on paradigmatic cases judged by CADE as the Kibon case (Administrative Case n. 148/94), the SKF Case (Administrative Case 08012.001271/2001-4) and the consultation of Continental (Consultation n. 08700.004594/2018-80).
The event took place on November 25, 2022, from 9am to 11am, at Salão Nobre Antonio Modesto da Silveira, at the OAB/RJ headquarters.
