Yesterday, on May 3, 2023, an article written by lawyers Fernando Naegele and Larissa Bastos about the sanctioning administrative procedures’ list recently issued by the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (“ANPD”) was published on the website Consultor Jurídico (“Conjur”) – a Brazilian electronic gazette specialized in news on legal topics.
The article aims to analyze, based on the published administrative procedures’ list, the line of action that is being followed by the ANPD, proposing a debate on the Authority’s tendencies in terms of procedural steps so far. Moreover, the article also evaluates and discusses the types of data controllers that are being more targeted in ANPD’s sanctioning administrative procedures until now, as well as the infractions that are more common.
